My creative process

  • Colour has the power to lift the spirits and bring joy. In my art I try to create a sense of vibrancy.

  • Mark making with crayons and words

    For the initial mark making, I write words as they come to me. In this way every piece has its own origin and energy.

  • I then layer and texture the piece with acrylics and crayons until I feel the “dialogue” is resolved in some way.

  • Every piece is created from a journey of emotions and ideas. Using this intuitive process brings me great joy.

  • The small to medium-sized wood panels I work on are not only great to handle but they allow the image I’m creating to extend and wrap around the four sides.

  • I hope my work evokes warmth and emotion in you too and that you enjoy having my work on your walls.
